About Devon Computer
Devon Computer is an IT practice for organisations in Exeter and across Devon, with a smaller amount of work for households. The way of working is the point: written scope, careful access, and an engagement that has an owner.
Who the work is for
Business owners and office managers, first. People who are accountable for an office and do not intend to become the IT department by accident. In-house technical staff, where they exist, are colleagues in the work rather than an audience for a pitch. Households are welcome on the terms set out under home and personal.
How an engagement starts
A conversation, then a written scope, then access. Not the other way round. Ongoing support and a project are distinguished so neither hides inside the other. Any target for response is part of that writing, or it does not exist. We do not publish one here.

Confidentiality
Need-to-know is the working rule. We do not discuss one client’s systems with another. We do not use a real environment as a story. In Totnes and the other small towns that rule is practical: people meet. It applies in Exeter and Plymouth in the same words.
What stays yours
Domains, Microsoft tenants, registrar accounts and the administrator position stay with you. Access we hold is listed. Leaving is a transfer, not a negotiation over your own mail. Equipment records and network diagrams are yours as well.
What we will not claim
We will decline work we cannot support properly, including a site that needs a clearance, an accreditation or an insurance position we do not hold. None of those are stated on this website. If a client needs evidence of something we do hold, we provide the current document privately. We do not put a badge on a page in anticipation.
We do not publish client names, reviews, ratings, years of trading, or prices.
