IT support in Plymouth
Plymouth is a city in its own right, and it has its own enquiry line. You do not start a Plymouth conversation by calling Exeter. We do not treat a Plymouth office as a remote outpost of an Exeter one.
A separate line
Call 01752 981688. Say which part of the city the work is in, and whether there is more than one site. Distance from Exeter is a scheduling fact. It is a reason this line exists, not a reason to improvise a visit.
Exeter and Newton Abbot remain on 01392 401314. Totnes is 01548 531530. Using the Plymouth line keeps the context with the people arranging the Plymouth work.
The centre and Sutton Harbour
Professional and administrative offices in the centre, and around Sutton Harbour, are often in buildings that have been divided and re-divided. A tenant’s cabinet may share a room with equipment nobody present can name. We map what is yours before we change it. Guest wireless, staff wireless and anything provided with the building are written down as separate things.
Waterfront buildings
Millbay and the Royal William Yard, among other waterfront sites, bring older and often listed fabric. Cable routes are awkward. A survey is worth more than a fast recommendation. Drilling, containment and landlord consent are part of the plan, not an afterthought when the engineer is already holding a drill. Where a route cannot be had, we say so and design for the constraint, usually with more cable in the places that allow it and less faith in wireless through stone.
Derriford and the north of the city
Around Derriford the buildings are larger: business parks, Plymouth Science Park, and organisations whose people expect wireless across a wide floor. The failure mode is coverage and capacity, and a guest network that has slowly been given too much trust. There are also administrative offices near the hospital whose working day cannot absorb a casual outage. We agree the window with the person who carries that risk.
Firms here often already have a line-of-business system, and sometimes their own technical staff. We document the join between their system and ours. We do not propose a migration in order to have something to deliver.
Plympton and Langage
Toward Plympton and the Langage estate the work is more often industrial, distribution and trade, with a small office attached to an operational floor. The questions match that pattern. Does the wireless reach the floor. What happens to the phones at the counter. Which PC, if it dies on a Thursday, stops goods leaving. Those are different questions from a professional office at Sutton Harbour, and they get a different visit.
Clearances
Plymouth’s economy includes marine, engineering and defence-adjacent work. We do not claim naval, defence, or any other clearance. If a site requires a clearance we do not hold, we will say so before a visit is arranged. We will not imply a status by arriving at the gate and hoping.

Questions
- Do I need to call Exeter to arrange Plymouth work?
No. Use 01752 981688. Plymouth enquiries stay on that line.
- Do you hold security clearances for naval or defence sites?
We do not claim any clearance. If your site requires one we do not hold, we will say so before a visit is arranged.
- We have a site in Exeter as well.
Say so. Each site is scoped. The Plymouth line is still the right place to start the Plymouth half of the conversation, and the Exeter line for the Exeter half, so the notes do not get mixed.
