Areas
Where we work in Devon
Devon Computer publishes four areas, because those are the places with a named enquiry line, and because Exeter is the one we describe in depth. A page for every town would repeat itself. Other places in Devon are covered by arrangement.
The four lines
- Exeter is the centre of the practice: the county city and its main business centre. The line is 01392 401314, shared with Newton Abbot.
- Newton Abbot is a market town and a trading estate, not a suburb of Exeter. It uses the same line, and it is planned as its own work.
- Plymouth is a separate city. Call 01752 981688. You do not need to go through Exeter.
- Totnes is the South Hams line, 01548 531530, for the town and, by arrangement, places beyond it.
Other Devon towns
By arrangement we will discuss work elsewhere in the county, when we can support it properly. Places that come up in that conversation include Exmouth, Crediton, Tiverton, Honiton, Sidmouth, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Ivybridge, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Okehampton, Barnstaple and Bideford. Naming a town here is not a claim of a presence, and it is not an offer of a page. If you are in one of these places, or somewhere else in Devon, call the Exeter line and say where the work is. We will tell you whether we should take it.
Distance, the circuit, and whether we can attend when it matters are the usual reasons to accept or decline. We would rather decline than pretend a far site is covered.
Call
Exeter and Newton Abbot: 01392 401314. Plymouth: 01752 981688. Totnes: 01548 531530. From anywhere else in Devon, call the Exeter line and name the town.
Questions
- Why are there only four area pages?
These are the places with a published enquiry line, and Exeter is the one described in the most depth. A page for every town would not say anything distinct. If you are elsewhere in Devon, call and we will say whether we can take the work.
