IT support in Newton Abbot
Newton Abbot is the market and administrative town of Teignbridge. It is not a suburb of Exeter. The enquiry line is shared, so the diary and the responsibility sit in one place. The work is specified for Newton Abbot: smaller offices, owner-managers, and units where a till or a stock system matters as much as the mail.
A market town
The town serves a wide rural district as well as its own streets. Firms here are often small, long-established, and run by someone who is also the person we will be speaking to. A heavy managed-service ceremony is the wrong shape. The right shape is a scope the owner can read, a record of what changed, and a willingness to say when a simpler arrangement is enough.
Kingsteignton sits against the town, and many businesses draw staff and customers from the surrounding villages. We treat that as the catchment it is. We do not rename it Exeter in order to make the journey sound shorter.
Town-centre offices
In the centre, offices are often a floor above a shop or a small suite on a street such as Queen Street, Courtenay Street or Devon Square. The incoming circuit is frequently a single broadband line. Walls are thick. The wireless was often placed for one room. There may be no sensible riser, and the person who “knows how it all works” may be about to retire, or already has.
We ask for that person early, and we write down what they know, so the office is not stranded if they are away. That note belongs to you.
The Brunel estate and the A380
The Brunel Industrial Estate, toward the Penn Inn roundabout and the A380, is the other Newton Abbot. Trade counters, workshops and light industrial units need wireless that reaches the floor, not only the mezzanine office. They depend on a supplier portal, a stock system or a till. A morning spent discussing mail while the counter cannot take an order is a wasted visit.
Roller doors, racking and a small office on a half-floor change both the wireless design and the way we book the work. The floor does not pause because an engineer would find noon convenient.
The system that takes the money
We ask what stops the business taking money or finishing a job, and we treat that system as the one we must not casually interrupt. If it is supported by a vendor already, we work with them or around them, as you instruct. We do not propose replacing it because it is unfamiliar.
Backup follows the same priority. The files that would stop the firm are the ones named first. A complete-looking copy that misses the stock system is not a backup of the business.
Sharing a line with Exeter
Call 01392 401314 and say Newton Abbot, and say whether you are in the town or on the estate. Plymouth and Totnes are not on this number. If you also have a site in Torbay, say so. The second site is arranged on its own. We do not fold Torquay or Paignton into a Newton Abbot visit and hope the afternoon will stretch.

Questions
- Why do we share a number with Exeter?
The line is shared so the diary and the responsibility are clear. The work is not treated as an Exeter job with the town name changed. Town-centre offices and units on the trading estate are planned as they are.
- We also have a site in Torbay.
Say so when you call. A second site is covered by arrangement and is scoped on its own. One visit pattern does not fit both.
